ABOUT NATE D TATTOO
I'm Nate, a tattoo artist based at FireFly Tattoo Company in Hailsham, East Sussex. I've been tattooing for five years. Before that I spent years in other jobs that never gave me the satisfaction I was looking for, and realism artwork was the passion that pulled me into tattooing. From the start I've focused on black and grey realism, fineline and microrealism, and I put everything into getting the depth and detail right.
Every tattoo starts with a conversation. You tell me your idea, and I design something original around it rather than copying a reference. Clients have often told me the finished design was better than what they'd pictured.
Before any ink goes in, I stencil the design on you so we can check placement together. If an area won't suit the design, I'll tell you honestly and suggest somewhere better. Each piece is built to follow the shape of your body, with careful attention to depth and contrast, so it still looks sharp as it heals and ages.

accepted case by case. I look carefully at the subject matter, the level of detail, the contrast and whether a cover-up is actually possible before agreeing to it.
My studio is FireFly Tattoo Company, 11 George Street, Hailsham BN27 1AA, open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Clients travel to me from all over, including nearby towns like Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Lewes and Brighton.
